Mevagissey

Only 10 minutes to the beach, Tregony is situated at the gateway to the Roseland Peninsula, an area of outstanding beauty consisting of remote beaches, superb cliff and country walks and a variety of marine recreational activities.

Nearby is Veryan, a picturesque village boasting the famous thatched `round houses' that guard the entrances to the village. Admire the quaint historic church and grounds as you pass through St Just in Roseland. A magical atmosphere exists in St Mawes, with its small fishing fleet and stunning scenery.

Eden Project is a short drive away. This global garden is a vibrant reminder of our place in nature. A unique educational resource it has become a top international visitor destination.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan described as `a triumph in restoration' and spread over 80 acres includes the jungle valley garden with spectacular tree ferns, bamboo and tropical vegetation. Heligan is a garden not to be missed.

Mevagissey is a 14th century fishing village with narrow streets leading off the harbour crammed with craft workshops, galleries, restaurants and pubs. Why not take a ferry trip from Mevagissey to Fowey, a centre for marine activities with great places to shop and eat. Truro, the region's city is worth a visit for its cathedral, Georgian architecture, Royal Cornwall museum and winding narrow streets with excellent shopping.
